Stir Little Fry

As many of you moms (and dads) already know, the simple act of making dinner can be an extremely daunting task. Especially when you have a toddler to entertain and spouse working late, again. If only we were gifted with free trips to the spa after completing each multi-task. As a working mom, I fight the urge to plop Lucas in front of the TV while I make dinner and he, well, stay fixed in a trance. My guilt is too strong. I cherish the moments I have with him so dinner prep should be no exception. I made it a rule to keep him involved in all my activites, whether it be folding laundry, feeding the dogs, preparing dinner or picking up toys. There is always something to keep those chubby, little hands busy. The best part is how proud he feels helping mama with the tiniest of tasks. Makes my heart melt. Sure, there are moments where I have to stop what I am doing and focus on the fact that he wants to get down from his step stool or becomes distrated by an apple. But hey, who said being a mom was easy. Anyhoo, I hope you enjoy my little take on what it means to involve my little Puca into every aspect of my life. I pride myself with teaching him to put love into all that he creates. Food preparation is just one expression of this love. So look out ladies, Lucas is learnin' how to cook!

Monotony never felt so meaningful.
